This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Physician and start-upper. Enrico Giuliani is a doctor specialized in anesthesia and intensive care and expert in the field of emergency medicine. Serving at the Red Cross, he faced a number of brain traumas. The lack of a technology capable of containing the damage led him to develop Neuron Guard, an integrated system of rescue and treatment of cerebral trauma, which has become a start-up thanks to one of the awards. Its headquarters is in Mirandola, an area heavily affected by the earthquake in 2012, and in particular in a container where the idea was born. (www.neuronguard.it )
